15 Pounds in 6 Weeks

This is part of a series of posts about my goal to lose 15 pounds over the next 6 weeks, using my Fitbit. I’m sharing videos and livestreaming from Facebook with my progress.

Weight Loss Challenge: 15 Pounds in 6 Weeks (Day 19)

It’s the morning of Day 19. I’m halfway through the third week. I’m excited to announce I finally broke through my plateau and weighed in at 139.9.

The first week I lost 5 pounds, the second week, I gained 5 pounds back. And now I finally broke through to below 140. Just barely but I did it!

Plateaus are tough and the last 10 pounds is always the hardest. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing tips about how to break through and lose those last 10 pounds. I’ll be writing a post specifically about plateaus.

My goal is to 15 pounds by September 18th. I have 10 more to go. Subscribe to my YouTube channel for future updates.

But I’m back on the program today and I will make my goal of losing 15 pounds! I have 14 pounds to lose by September 18th — and exactly one month to do it.

Stay tuned — I’ll post another update tomorrow.

How I Lose Weight with the Fitbit and Weighted Vest

There are 3 steps to losing weight with a Fitbit and weighted vest:

1. Wear a [easyazon_link identifier=”B00N2BW2PK” locale=”US” tag=”cheeseslave0e-20″]Fitbit[/easyazon_link] and get 10,000 steps a day (I recommend doing this in the morning, otherwise it’s easy to put it off).
2. Wear a [easyazon_link identifier=”B00213DMUE” locale=”US” tag=”cheeseslave0e-20″]weighted vest[/easyazon_link] while you walk. You can start with as little as 5 or 10 pounds. I started with 15 pounds and worked my way up to 30 pounds.
3. Use the Fitbit dashboard to set your weight loss goal and calorie deficit. Enter what you eat each day and track your calories. Don’t go over the amount you are allowed to eat.

That’s it!

If you have a baby handy, you can just do babywearing instead of wearing a weighted vest. That’s how I got the idea. When Ollie was a baby last year, I was carrying him everywhere with my [easyazon_link identifier=”B00RUF2CP4″ locale=”US” tag=”cheeseslave0e-20″]Tula carrier[/easyazon_link] and that’s how I lost 30 pounds of baby weight in 4 months.
