Think Draining the Swamp was just a catchphrase? In this post, I tell the real story behind NESARA.
Most people today assume that “Drain the Swamp” was a political catchphrase coined out of thin air during the Trump era. It wasn’t.
“Draining the Swamp” was the title of a real book, written decades before Trump ever ran for president, based on a real proposed congressional act called N.E.S.A.R.A. (National Economic Stabilization and Recovery Act), which laid out a total restructuring of the U.S. economic system.
There have been a lot of rumors swirling online about what NESARA is over the past several years. NESARA is not automatic debt cancellation and instant cash payouts from the government.
While nobody knows for sure what Trump and the patriots have up their sleeves, I think a lot of what NESARA proposed is about to become real.
In this blog post, I will clear up the rumors, go over real facts and evidence, and talk about what is really happening.
I also think it's auspicious and kind of amazing that today, the day I'm finally publishing this long-planned blog post, is the same day President Trump suddenly announced the new chairman of the Federal Reserve.
I'll address the new chairman pick at the end of the post.
Trump's pick is definitely going to confuse a lot of people but I'll explain what I think might be happening. It's a little thing Trump calls "Central Casting."

The book, Draining the Swamp, was not just a slogan.
It was a published book based on congressional bill. The book was completely censored for years, unavailable for purchase through major channels until just last year. Now you can buy Draining the Swamp on Amazon.
The ideas in the book haven’t gone away. In fact, many of these ideas are now being debated openly in Congress as well as being proposed by President Trump.
The Book: Draining the Swamp
Draining the Swamp: The NESARA Story was written and self-published by Harvey F. Barnard in 1996, 20 years before Trump used the slogan in his political campaign.
It laid out a coherent critique and a comprehensive alternative to the existing financial and political system.
For decades, people couldn’t buy a copy through mainstream outlets like Amazon or bookstores. The book was completely censored.
Only recently — in just the past year — the book it started to reappear on major retail platforms.

Drain the Swamp: From Reagan to Trump
The phrase “Drain the Swamp” did not originate with Donald Trump.
In fact:
- Ronald Reagan used the expression in political speeches decades earlier, long before Trump. (Source: "Drain the Swamp" on Wikipedia)
- Donald Trump revived “Drain the Swamp” as a slogan in 2016 and paired it with another slogan with deep historical roots: “Make America Great Again.” Reagan used the same phrase decades before Trump ran. (Source: "Make America Great Again on Wikipedia.)
- Pat Buchanan served as senior advisor, speechwriter, and key political strategist to Richard Nixon and later ran for president. He used similar populist language and slogans like “America First.” Buchanan’s use of populist economic language predates Trump’s political career. (Source: "American First" on Wikipedia)
It's important to note that Richard Nixon and Donald Trump were pen pals. If you do a little digging on Nixon, you'll learn some very important things. Nixon spoke out against a certain group of people and they punished him for it. (Source: Politico)
Yes, Nixon really did say that.
Skip down to the bottom of this article and read the part about Trump's Federal Reserve Chairman pick, Warsh, and his father Ronald Lauder and then connect the dots back to Nixon and Buchanan.
I think you'll find that Nixon and Trump hold very similar views, although Trump can't say them out loud. Yet.

The NWO Pyramid
Before you get triggered by the J word, this is about Israel.
If it doesn't make sense to you by now, it will make sense to you soon as more and more information comes out, like TPUSA being run by Mossad, etc.
Just know that there are three families that run the world and have for thousands of years. Three sides of the pyramid.
It's these three families that make up three sides of the New World Order pyramid: The House of Saud, The Rothschilds, and the George Soros.
The good news is, they are all being taken out and removed from power. Go back and read about the Saudi Purge back in 2017 when they had all their assets seized.
Any day now we'll find out that Soros is funding all the paid agitators in Minneapolis and other cities. Trump just hinted about it again today at a press conference. Soros is the final side of the pyramid.
Okay, moving on...
What NESARA Actually Proposed (Short Outline)
Before we dive into the book, how it was supressed, as well as the history of the phrase “Drain the Swamp,” and how it keeps resurfacing, here’s the core of what the National Economic Stabilization and Recovery Act (N.E.S.A.R.A.) actually proposed.
- Eliminating the federal income tax
- Replacing it with a national sales & use tax
- Abolishing the Federal Reserve System
- Issuing U.S. currency directly through the Treasury
- Re-establishing a bimetallic monetary system backed by gold and silver
- Ending compound interest on secured loans
- Reducing or restructuring personal and national debt
Key Provisions of the Proposed NESARA Bill (Full Outline)
1. Monetary System Reform
- Proposes abolishing the Federal Reserve System — the privately controlled central bank — and replacing it with a constitutional monetary system not controlled by private banking interests.
- Calls for issuing U.S. currency directly through the U.S. Treasury.
- Suggests the use of tangible asset backing — including gold and silver — or a Treasury Reserve mechanism meant to control inflation.
Ending the Fed: The Federal Reserve is a privately owned company – it is neither federal nor is it a reserve.
Note: Have ya'll been watching the price of silver and gold lately? Silver hit an all-time high of $120 yesterday.
2. Tax System Overhaul
- The federal income tax is eliminated.
- A national sales & use tax is introduced, often cited around a 14% rate.
- “Necessities of life” — groceries, rent, essential services, medical care — would be exempt from this tax.
If you think that sounds exciting, keep reading: This proposal is very similar to H.R. 25 — The Fair Tax Act – a real bill in Congress right now – I'll cover this later in the blog post.
3. Banking and Interest Reform
- Compound interest on secured loans like mortgages is ended.
- A simple monetization fee replaces compound interest.
- Payments go first to principal, not to growing interest.
How this would work: On a $300,000, 30-year mortgage, today’s 6% compound-interest system costs about $647,000 total. Under a NESARA-style system using a 4% simple monetization fee, with payments applied to principal first, the total cost drops to roughly $480,000 — and far less if the loan is paid off early. That difference exists purely because compound interest is removed.
4. Debt and Economic Stability Provisions
- Includes proposals that help to stabilize the economy and reduce inflation.
- Discusses restructuring national and personal debt through monetary reform.
- Note: Massive claims about instantaneous cancellation of all debts came later and are not part of the original draft.
This doesn’t mean debt is magically canceled: It means the system stops creating runaway debt through compound interest and unsound money (money not backed by gold and silver), making debt harder to fall into and easier to escape.
5. Business and Tax Collection
- Businesses collect the national sales tax as agents.
- Nonprofits receive exemptions under specified conditions.
- Individual income tax filing is abolished.
This is a viable way to abolish income tax: When taxes are collected at the point of sale, the need to monitor personal income disappears.
6. Treatment of Home Ownership and Charities
- Home purchases are treated as retail events, with tax rules for new versus used homes.
- Charitable giving is encouraged through tax credit mechanisms.
Housing is a necessity: A home stops being a leverage tool when interest stops compounding.

How NESARA Was Discredited on Purpose
After the original NESARA proposal came out, it began to be attacked. A series of fantastical claims were attached to the concept of NESARA — almost all of which were not part of the original text — including:
- Secret passage of the law
- Hidden classified enforcement
- Instant payouts to citizens
- Automatic cancellation of debts
- Deadlines with catastrophic consequences
These additions did not come from the source material.
They were attached later, and then amplified by critics and insiders alike to turn NESARA into a laughingstock.
This follows a familiar pattern. Once the public thinks “NESARA = nonsense,” no one has to challenge the underlying economic critique it introduced.
This is a standard discrediting strategy: Add absurdity to a real idea → ridicule it → dismiss the entire subject.
The Fair Tax Act: NESARA Resurrected?
Here’s where things get really interesting.
H.R. 25 — The Fair Tax Act (119th Congress) is a real piece of legislation that proposes:
- Eliminating federal income taxes
- Abolishing the IRS as it currently exists
- Replacing income taxes with a national retail sales tax
Sound familiar?
Whether or not the Fair Tax passes, the existence of this legislation shows that the core ideas from NESARA are not fringe, despite how they’ve been presented.
NESARA is not dead: Ideas don’t keep reappearing in official government channels unless they have traction somewhere real.
The External Revenue Service
But wait, there's more... President Trump has been talking for a long time about plans to launch the "External Revenue Service."
According to PoliticoPro in March 2025:
The White House on Tuesday reaffirmed its intention to create an External Revenue Service to collect the trillions of dollars in tariff revenue that President Donald Trump says the country will bring in thanks to his duties on countries around the world.
"We need reciprocal tariffs to go into effect first, and as you know, the president will be rolling those out on April 2," White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told reporters at a White House briefing. "And then the next start of that process is collecting that revenue to ultimately create the External Revenue Service."
Not only that, but President Trump has literally said that the new External Revenue Service could replace the Internal Revenue Service
Look it up on Google yourself – this is exactly what Trump is saying:

And did you know that we didn't even have federal income taxes until 1913? The same year they started the Federal Reserve?
The same Federal Reserve that is neither federal nor a reserve?
"Talk amongst yourselves... I'm getting verklempt..."
Prior to 1913, the US government was fully funded by tariffs. In other words, the External Revenue Service.
Trump's New Fed Pick: Central Casting
Oh, but one more thing... before I end this blog post, I wanted to address Trump's pick for Federal Reserve Chairman, whom he just announced this morning.
As I was writing this blog post, Trump announced his new Federal Reserve pick, Kevin Warsh, who is obviously a deep state, swamp creature.
Just look at his father-in-law Ronald Lauder.
If you're not familiar with Lauder, I recommend doing some digging. I just did a quick search on X for "ronald lauder ties to jeffrey epstein."
Here are a couple of tweets I found within one minute:
Okay, so before you start freaking out like all the people wringing their hands on X right now, I want you to look closely at Trump‘s announcement.
At the very end, he called Warsh "central casting":
Trump also called Mike Pence "central casting" and we know how treasonous Pence was by certifying the rigged election.

Trump also called Scott Bessent, the current US Secretary of the Treasury "central casting."
Bessent is a protégé of George Soros who helped him break the Bank of England in the early '90s.
You may be wondering, What is going on? Why would Trump appoint these people? To expose them.
Just like he did with Fauci. And for those who complain that "nothing ever happened to Fauci"...
Um, I guess you didn't notice how many people woke up to the vaccines being poison?
Yeah, he hasn't been arrested yet, but they don't arrest people one by one in a RICO Act sting operation. It's gonna happen in one fell swoop. "Clean and swift" as Q told us.
Mark my words – this is exposure.
Gold Destroys the Fed
Also, I don’t believe that the Federal Reserve is going to exist for much longer. So I don't think it matters who gets nominated for Fed Chairman. Because it won't exist.
Why? Because gold destroys the Fed.
You can already see what is happening with the price of gold and silver lately.
They are down today – but they are still way, way up.
Do you really think Trump would be calling this the beginning of the GOLDEN AGE if he wasn't planning to bring back gold and silver?
Also, go back and read this article from 2020 about Trump merging the Fed with the Treasury. I think the US Treasury is going to be what we have and not the Federal Reserve. It will be abolished just like it was planned in the NESARA bill.
Oh, and one more thing... did you hear that Trump is suing the IRS for $10 billion.
If you’re really in bed with the Deep State is that something you would ever do?
Of course not. Because the IRS is part of the Deep State.

While there are a lot of rumors online about NESARA, the evidence shows that very good things are happening.
Here are the facts I laid out:
- The phrase “Drain the Swamp” and related slogans have a long pedigree in American politics
- “Draining the Swamp” was a book long before it was a political slogan
- That book was based on a real proposed congressional bill (NESARA)
- NESARA outlined system-level reforms that challenge entrenched financial power
- The book was censored and disappeared from mainstream purchase options for over a decade
- The NESARA story was covered up by hoaxes that were designed to discredit
- Today, some of NESARA’s ideas (like national sales taxation) are actively in Congress
- According to President Trump, the ERS could replace the IRS – ending federal income tax
