It’s been a while since I went to ExpoWest and I never got around to writing this post.

But I still have some companies I did not get a chance to cover and I don’t want to leave them out.

From organic salsa to flavored coconut oil born from reggae, homeopathic remedies to a great nutrition school, to a company that sells awesome grow-your-own mushroom kits, this post runs the gamut.

I was so psyched to meet Nikhil Arora, founder of Back to the Roots.

Nikhil and his business partner, Alejandro Velez, are making these awesome Back to the Roots Mushroom Kits.  You may have seen them in health food stores (I see them everywhere). Yes, you can grow your own gourmet mushrooms in your own home with your leftover coffee grounds! How cool is that?

Institute for Integrative Nutrition

The Institute for Integrative Nutrition is the worldʼs largest nutrition school. And they are making big waves.

The Institute has a very good reputation, with rock star alumni including raw food chef, Frank Giglio, and Adina Grigore, founder of Sprout Skincare.

If you’re interested in a career in nutrition or health, you need to check them out.

Wildbrine

Wildbrine is a new company that has delicious fermented foods including sauerkraut, kimchi and pickles. Everything tasted amazing!

Boiron is the leading provider of homeopathic remedies. I use their products, as I’m sure many of you do.

Ziggy Marley Organics

Bob Marley’s son, Ziggy, performed at ExpoWest (we missed him because we were in bed by 10 pm).

He also has an organic food company, Ziggy Marley Organics.  They make flavored coconut oil.

I loved the Orange-Almond flavor, as well as the Lemon-Ginger.
