Price Foundation published a “whistleblower” report on August 23, 2015 that raised questions about a natural vitamin supplement that many people in the real foods community have been taking religiously in the belief that it was a healthy, traditional, and safe food.
According to Dr. Daniel, fermented cod liver oil (FCLO) may have contributed to serious health problems, including heart failure, arrhythmias, digestive distress, skin disorders, and pulmonary embolisms.

Dr. Kaayla Daniel’s Bio
Dr. Kaayla Daniel holds a PhD in Nutritional Sciences and Anti-Aging Therapies from the Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, and is certified as a clinical nutritionist (CCN) by the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board of the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists in Dallas. A former investigative reporter, Dr. Daniel is the author of two books, The Whole Soy Story: The Dark Side of America’s Favorite Health Food and Nourishing Broth: An Old-Fashioned Remedy for the Modern World (co-written with Sally Fallon Morell, President of the Weston A. Price Foundation). In 2005, Dr. Daniel was the recipient of the Weston A. Price Foundation’s Integrity in Science Award.
