It’s true — we quit homeschooling. It’s back to school next week and both my kids will be going to school. In this post, I’ll share why we decided to quit homeschooling.
Kate just had her first horseback riding lesson. We homeschool, and it’s been a bit of a challenge to find sports and physical activities that 10-year-old Kate is interested in.
This summer, 10-year-old Kate and I started learning about the Middle Ages. We use the classical education method for homeschooling which employs the trivium.
This year we attended our first Free to Be Unschooling Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, September 29-October 2, 2016. We had a total blast! I wanted to share some of our photos and videos.
I was scared to try unschooling at first, but the more Kate rejected learning, the more I realized I couldn’t push a rope. So we embraced unschooling and haven’t looked back.
Looking for a California homeschool conference? The week before last, we went to the Homeschool Association of California 2016 Conference. If you’re a homeschooling family in California, you should consider attending next year.
Last week, we went on our first homeschool camping trip. It was the longest camping trip I’ve ever been on (well, at least, the longest one I’ve been in charge of packing and cooking for).
